2014. The Year of Transition

12:50 PM

2014 was full of highs a lows. I have never quite experienced a year like this. This has been the biggest transition of my life. I entered my late 20s. I have entered into a different relationship with my family that includes friendship amongst having genuine love for them. I have said hello to new friends and relationships. I have learned a lot about myself and the person that I want to be which includes learning to stand up for myself and what I believe when the situation calls for it.  I have learned what true friendship and family really means.

I have embarked on new adventures and territory I had never been a part of before. One of those things includes being a part of Bitch Team Alpha also known as BTA Podcasts which launched earlier this year. If you aren’t familiar with us, check us out at bitchteamalpha.com - we are a network of podcasts on all things geek from a female perspective. I have to say this has been a really fun thing to be a part of from the ground up.  We have grown a LOT over the past year and I only see things going up for us. We have really great girls (some of the coolest in my opinion) and really great content. I can truly say I enjoy everything I do for BTA. I can’t wait to see what 2015 does for us.

I have never been a big fan of making New Year’s Resolutions because why make a promise for the new year when you are just going to break it? I will say I try every year to be better than the year before. However, I am making myself make goals that I started in 2014 that I hope to take with me to 2015.

1) Invest in people and relationships that are mutual. This meaning - I only want to invest in people that want to invest in me.

2) Work towards only having one job. Recently over the last four months, I have been working two jobs so I can help pay down some of this debt that is hanging over me. While I love my part time job, I am hoping to make great strides in my career to hopefully only work one job. That way I can dedicate more time to BTA amongst other activities that I feel will bring joy to my life.

3) Bring fitness and eating better back into my life. Over the course of the last year or so, I have gained almost all the weight I lost a few years back. This due to stress, not working out, working two jobs and not holding myself accountable to the lifestyle I once had.  I already have started this goal with the hopes that I really will hold myself accountable. If you are reading this, please hold me accountable as well.

4) Start working towards relocating myself.  I have the goal of wanted to relate to a new city by 30 years old. I have 2 1/2 years left. So I plan to start taking major strides to get this goal accomplished.  If you would like to help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it!

While this has been the biggest transition year for me, I only see things going up from here.

2014. Good Bye and it was nice to have you while you were here. But its time for this girl to embark on some new adventures!
